Why A Natural Skin Care Website?
I have experienced the trauma of hypersensitive and acne-prone skin. For the past ten years I tried nearly every remedy available to date, with no success. In fact, the majority of products I tried either did nothing for me, or worsened my condition. I was frantic. I felt ugly, undesired, and worse, my self-confidence disappeared.
Agony over not having perfect skin sent me on a quest…
I became an avid researcher and reader, trying to figure out why so many products failed to deliver promised results. That's when I discovered that many companies were using ingredients in acne skin care products that actually AGRAVATED my skin. Products that were supposed to soothe and heal acne, were actually making my acne worse.
My quest becomes a search for knowledge
I became a licensed cosmetologist to put myself through college, where I studied chemistry and biology. My knowledge of how our skin and body absorbs and processes ingredients has grown significantly over the years. I learned about the chemical compositions of many common skin care ingredients, and became aware of what most products contained and combined reactions. Up until then, I was fairly ignorant about the health hazards surrounding many of our cosmetics and personal care products.
But, the day I discovered that there are over 200 known carcinogenic chemicals in use in skin care products today, was the day I cleaned out all of my bathrooms and threw away every single product that contained those ingredients. It became impossible for me to knowingly use toxic products in the quest of perfect skin. I realized that women everywhere were destroying their health for the sake of vanity, and companies around the world were knowingly helping us along!
So I started to build a list of chemicals that should not be included in my skin care regimen and began a near fruitless search for truly pure products. I conducted a detailed cross-analysis of each chemical ingredient compilation.
During my research, I discovered that companies were filling their products with chemicals that, by increasing skin absorption through the epidermal and dermal layers were also increasing levels of toxicity and carcinogenic properties at the molecular level. These preliminary findings were deeply disturbing.
Out of Frustration, Grows Inspiration
I came to a cross-roads in my life. I know that one person cannot battle these companies alone, and such a dramatic change (think tobacco industry) in policy will take years of lobbying. I knew women were being constantly lied to by industry advertising, by media and magazines, by almost nearly every sector of the beauty industry.
Since that day when I removed from my house all traces of such chemicals, I have been on a quest. A quest that included years of research, identifying and testing natural products, manufactured by companies that have a socio-environmental policy.
Frustrated with the lack of natural, pure, organic products and 100% honesty from companies throughout the cosmetic industry, and angered by the misrepresentation and misinformation that is still being fed to women everywhere, I decided I would launch a company that sourced and provided only the purest, holistic skin care products from companies that were
- socially and environmentally conscious.

I pledged to combine this with the latest in health and skin care education to help women make informed, educated decisions about their health and their beauty. Luckily, there are a few such concerned companies that use only pure, natural ingredients, many of them vegan and cruelty-free, none of them tested on animals. I decided to start a skin care company that helped source and sell such products.
